Medical Services
Residents are served by St. Charles Medical Center - Redmond, a 48 bed JCAHO accredited full service facility. Quality healthcare services include a 24 hour Level IV trauma care emergency room, intensive care, birth and family center, advanced surgical capabilities, community education services, physical therapy, and state of the art imaging facilities, among others. An excellent medical staff boasts physicians specializing in family practice, surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, and orthopedics.
The community is also served by chiropractors, nurse practitioners, and dental professionals. St. Charles Medical Center-Bend (16 miles From Redmond) serves as the regional medical center and has a wide variety of specialized medical facilities including open heart surgery, a cancer center, and extensive diagnostic services.
Education
In one of Oregon's fastest growing areas, the Redmond School District draws it 7,000+ students from over 30,000 residents in the communities of Alfalfa, Crooked River Ranch, Eagle Crest, Redmond, Terrebonne and Tumalo.
With the addition of a new 600-seat elementary (Tom McCall) and 800-seat middle school (Elton Gregory), the Redmond School District began the 2006-07 school year with five K-5 elementary schools; two K-8 community schools, two middle schools, two charter schools, one high school and one alternative high school.
All schools in the Redmond District offer a variety of programs and resources to meet the needs of individual students. Our focus is to raise academic and student performance standards K-12 by offering more challenging and engaging curriculum. It is our goal that all students graduate work-ready and college-ready with the tools necessary to be successful in the 21st century workplace.
