Member Spotlight: Family Access Network

At the Redmond Chamber of Commerce, we take pride in highlighting the organizations that are making meaningful contributions to our community. This month, we are pleased to spotlight Family Access Network (FAN), an essential nonprofit working to ensure Central Oregon families have access to the resources they need to thrive.

About FAN

Founded in 1993, FAN was created through a collaborative effort between local churches, schools, and social services to bridge the gap between families in need and the support systems available to them. FAN’s mission is to offer assistance, possibility, and hope by connecting low-income, homeless, and struggling families with basic needs through advocates embedded directly in local schools.

Today, FAN serves more than 7,500 children and family members annually through the efforts of 28 advocates working across 65 school sites. These advocates play a vital role in helping students stay focused on learning by ensuring their most essential needs are met.

Making an Impact in Redmond

Kelsey Seymour, Community Outreach Coordinator at FAN, shares, “Redmond has a deeply generous and engaged business community. Being a part of that has been a real gift. Redmond ensures that every organization is celebrated and made to belong. That is a core value our organization shares with the community of Redmond.”

FAN has found great value in participating in Chamber events like the Redmond Business Hop and weekly Coffee Clatters. These networking opportunities have provided accessible platforms to share their mission and promote important events like the FANfest concert series. The Chamber’s weekly member updates have also helped raise visibility for FAN’s programs.

FANfest Concert Series

FAN’s annual summer fundraiser, FANfest, is currently underway. The concert series features top-tier classic cover bands from across the Pacific Northwest and is hosted at Blacksmith Public House. Proceeds support FAN’s work throughout Central Oregon.

Tickets and additional event details are available at Blacksmith Public House.
