πŸ”‹ Community Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling Event – April 25

The Rotary Clubs of Bend, Mt. Bachelor, and Greater Bend are teaming up to host a free community lithium-ion battery recycling event on Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This event provides an easy and responsible way for Central Oregonians to recycle old batteries and rechargeable devices that often sit forgotten in junk drawers.

♻️ Why This Matters

Lithium-ion batteries power our phones, tools, and countless everyday devicesβ€”but when disposed of improperly, they can cause serious safety and environmental risks.
In fact, local landfill staff report frequent fires caused by discarded batteries.

At the same time, more than 95% of battery materials can be recovered and reused, helping reduce the need for mining and supporting a more sustainable, domestic supply chain.

πŸ”Œ What to Bring

Bring your old:

Phones, tablets, and laptops
Power tool batteries
Rechargeable vacuums
Wireless headphones and speakers
Electric toothbrushes
Any rechargeable device with a lithium-ion battery

🚫 Please note: This event is limited to lithium-ion batteries and rechargeable devices only. No TVs, cords, printers, or other e-waste will be accepted.
