Explore the most famous moments from William Shakespeare’s popular play.
CASSIUS: Therefore, good Brutus, be prepared to hear:
And since you know you cannot see yourself
So well as by reflection, I, your glass,
Will modestly discover to yourself
That of yourself which you yet know not of.
Local teacher and published poet Matthew Friday (from the UK) will lead the audience through an exploration of the opening scenes and moments from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. Walk away with a better understanding of the language and appreciation of its poetic brilliance. Audience members will be invited to join in with the reading – no experience needed! Or just sit, listen and enjoy. Throughout the presentation, there will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion.
This workshop is Part 2. Part 1 is “Dear Brutus”: Introduction to Julius Caesar. Feel free to attend one or both workshops.
