Veterans Day Parade 2023

Loading Events

The Redmond Veterans Day Parade is set to return this year on Saturday, November 11. The parade will commence promptly at 11 a.m., marking the historic World War I armistice on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. If you plan to participate, make your way to the sign-in table located at the Northeast corner of 6th St. and Dogwood, where you can receive your designated placement number. Sign-in will begin at 9 a.m.

Should you have any inquiries or need further information, feel free to contact Dianne Guthrie at 541-280-5162. The parade organizers are particularly enthusiastic about involving youth groups, and they remind equestrian groups to bring their own pooper scoopers if participating. Businesses are encouraged to participate in the parade as well. In previous years, old cars, dogs, and horses have been well-received additions, paying tribute to our veterans.

Elderly veterans who may find it challenging to walk the parade route can secure a spot on a provided float. Please reach out to Guthrie in advance to reserve your spot.

Following the parade, there will be a chili feed at the VFW Post from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., specifically for veterans and their families to enjoy.
