SCORE Mentors March 26th, 2019
The Central Oregon Chapter of SCORE provides no-cost mentoring with experienced former business owners and executives. No matter whether you’re just starting out or are a seasoned entrepreneur there’s a SCORE mentor for you.
Here’s the latest spotlight on SCORE’s mentors from Tim Conlon. You can always find more information at centraloregon.score.org.
SCORE is a nationwide nonprofit that offers free and confidential business advice to small business owners and entrepreneurs. Certified mentors guide clients to realize business and nonprofit goals with one-to-one meetings, workshops and online tutorials.
SCORE-Central Oregon is a chapter among the most utilized in the nation with a 42.5% increase in client intake for FY 17-18. In January, 2019, SCORE-CO assigned more than one client per day to its mentor corps.

Collegial in nature, Alan listens carefully to the needs of his clients and identifies the resources required for the client to succeed.
A life-long skier, Alan is active in the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and played a key role in its recent capital fund raising campaign.

Ed Murrer Headshot

Ed Murrer, SCORE-CO mentor, chairs the Chapter’s Workshops’ program which are held throughout the year for free for SCORE clients and interested individuals. SCORE-CO’s workshops are held in Deschutes
Libraries in Bend, Redmond and Sisters.
Ed was instrumental in starting and building 9 separate start-ups in a wide variety of technologies from lasers to biometrics to high resolution displays, security software and solar production equipment to name a few. Ed, among the chapter’s mentors, brings unique Silicon Valley technology management acumen as well as international business experience and wherewithal.
Alan and Ed are emblematic of the breadth and depth business “smarts” residing in SCORE-CO and available to Central Oregonians.
